I need a slide hammer or front fork seating device to change out my fork seals. I saw an older article where someone had stated that they were going to loan their spare seating hammer out, specifically made for seating fork seals. Is anything available, or does anyone have specs to make, ideas, etc? I've seen articles of them made from PVC, are these reliable?

Thanks for your comments

Quick and easy with 1 1/2" pvc pipe. Go to local hardware store and get an end piece so that it is nice and square. Other end doesn't really matter, just long enough to go past the ends of the tube. Then use a soft blow mallet to tap the seals in.
