WANTED - 1500 lowers

I'd like some replacement lowers for my 1500. Honda (not being as wise and all knowing as some people have deluded themselves to believe

) fitted steel lowers in the area of the bike that gets soaked in road cack.
I've seen these lowers in chrome, which would be fantastic but never in plastic/fibre glass - carbon fibre would be the bestest thing in the world!

My 1500 is a two tone red one but any set would do as I'd get them sprayed.

Anybody got a set or know where to get them second-hand?

Crazy idea, but for $195.00 US, you can get them from Honda...............What a rip off for a pair of metal covers :X

If I understand you want to replace the steel panel which fits below the header pipes/manifiold .

I would watch on fleabay for them . I picked up a red left for $10US a month or so back .

I'll be running to the local breaker yard this weekend and I'll look for whatever can be had.

If ya need a hand to ship a "gift" from th US - let me know as well. (I've always wanted to roll these things outta aluminum )

I have sheets of titanium here that I'd love to see beaten in to shape!

My ones started to rust around the mounting holesbefore 23K miles, and my feeble attempt to "touch 'em up", resulted in meswapping them for chrome ones. The rust is only "surface" and has not penetrated the thin metal

Sorry, I don't have the covers that fit foreward of these ones.

You could have them powder coated which is much stronger than paint,And in any color you wanted.I personaly had mine done,and cost me $25.00 ea.Just something you could think about.

Came up dry at the yard for ya Nitrowing, but they did mention that there was an 89 1500 "coming in" so I may be back again this weekend -- which panels? the vented ones or the others? (both?)...

I was watching those too, they went for well over £50, too much for rusty metal. I have asked my mate in Ireland, who is big into wings, about these panels, he is going to have an ask around his mates/contacts

- looks like they could be had now for ~60GBP:shock:?? or pehaps another sniping attempt ?
