wanted cb for 1800

I need one too!

Here is one on Ebay at a decent price. I know that there are quite a few on Ebay that are brand new and at full price as well. Good luck in finding one.

dont buy a 2nd hand unit unless it comes complete with all the chokes (surpressors) I think there are 3 ,one on each fan and one on the fuel sender .. if you buy one without these then the cb will have constant whine and noise in it ..

I generally stay away from used electronics. This is good info to have. And more reason for me to stay away from used electronics. But I have had a couple good used pieces as well.

You can buy the individual filters (supressors) as needed from Sierra Electronics (I got my filters from them) and other places. I think CycleMax also sells them.

As for staying away from used electronics, Normally I would agree with you, but the OEM cb's are tried and true and last for along time and the cost of buying new was outregeous and out of the question. Just do your research into the seller and communicate with him prior to purchasing it. If you get the feeling that something is hinky or if they have absolutely no clue as to the history of the CB or where it came from or if it works, then maybe you should not buy that one.
