I found a cluster last weekend at the wreckers. He wanted $300 for it. I paid it. Works fantastic. Then had to buy a speed sensor for another $190 off Mother Honda, but ALL works well now and Im very happy with it.

thanks

It's a month later, is all well with your wheels and speedometer? I have mine in storage now but will try to get it in order for next spring.

Yes, all is fine. Speedo works great. Still have no gear indication though and must pull in clutch to start it, but im very happy with the guages. The couch is in storage now, sleeping for the winter. I have put much shiney chrome bits on it since you last saw it and much more to come over the cold months. In the spring she will get a new stator, brakes, timing belts and ill get that gear indicator thingy fixed while the motor is out.

Thanks for the offer, but Im getting the big things done at a shop in Wasaga Beach. Pulling the motor is beyond my abilities since I have no enclosed work area and I wouldnt feel confidant enought to do it anyhow. You and I should get together for a ride and some Timmys in the Spring. Maybe the Forks??

Forks are a good idea, without them handling on a Wing would be very challanging!!

( sorry, I just couldn't resist)

Hey Goldwinger, you know J.C?? Yes, the best in Canada. Goldwing Specialist. The only one that touches my Road Sofa. He has wrenched my Goldwings for over 20 years now. It was easier for me when he had a shop in Toronto, upon Keele St. near Finch. Now that he is in between Wasaga Beach and Collingwood, it a little more difficult. Hard to leave the bike there and get back home. Need to have a car follow you there.

You me and ARKnapp ought to get together in the spring for a ride to the Forks or somewhere. Maybe a ride up #10 to Wasaga. A great ride that is. At the very least, a Timmys. I never met a GURU before:D

Yea Speedbird, had my 1200 up to him a couple of times. Your right a pain in the butt dropping off and picking up but well worth the trouble. I am going to get a trailer for hauling Ileen around for just such occasions. I'm in for showing those crotch rockets how to run the forks and listen to some good music at the same time. Am always game for a Timmy's, maybe even in Feb just to talk bikes.

Best In Canada??????????? Now that is a rather LARGE statement. It is rather like the NBA champs calling themselves "world champions" a rather ominous title considering the last Olympic games.

Hi there Speedbird, looks like you are just up the road from me! I live around hwy 86 and Victoria street if you are familiar with the area. The Forks is a favourite ride for me and I usually get up early on a Sunday morning while the S.O. is sleeping, jump on the wing and head for Belfountain with a Timmy's stop in Fergus usually. And then make a quick pit stop (OK not quick) at Flap Jacks on hwy 10 and stuff myself full of that low fat french toast. Great place to eat!!
But hey if you are planning a ride up there come spring or summer, gimme a buzz, and we can gawk at each other's bike. Hoping you'll get her all fixed up for spring. Going OK so far?? I'm a wrench for my profession and bikes are a fun hobby for me. Beats fixing cars all day long 5 days a week!!
Doing Americade June 8-11, a long weekend. Can't wait!
