Wanted: Photo of '82 GL1100 front wheel, left side

I've had an issue with my speedometer cable breaking after removing and reinstalling the speedometer drive. I believe it's the angle of the connection to the speedometer drive. Would someone please post a photo so I can see the angle that it's supposed to be set at?

Thank you in advance.

Do you have the lug on the speedo drive against the backside of the boss (locating tang) on the fork leg? You have to position it there and verify after tightening the axle in place that it is still there. The speedo cable should go into the drive box at approximately parallel with the ground.
I went out and looked at my 1100 and Stu is right, if's its in a bind yeah its going o give you problems...Mine is parallel to the ground...But the drive has been not working for years... I do have another drive to install, its just getting the time to just get it done...One thing I am going to do while I've got this one in the air, is remove the rotor and caliper chrome covers.. They are going on another 1100 I own..This one in the garage will be a daily rider....

Someone will post a picture soon, I'm sure, Hope it solves your problems..
There's my answer. I have it angled up. Thank you. I'll have a speedometer again tomorrow!
Be sure and lube the cable before installing it and lube it yearly along with all your cables if you want them to last.
