It plugs in above the top of the faring above the clarion radio. I really do not know ahat goes there, but I do not like a covered empty space that has plugins for sometning (On the Aspencade). The gear ratio between the 80 GL1100 and the 83 Aspencade is such a big difference. I have to do a comparision.

You can also put a fairing pocket in there and have a little more storage instead of a cassette player.

I found that the pocket is much handier than a tape deck. It's great for gloves and smokes. If I want to hide anything of value I use the other pocket that locks or the trunk/bags.

True. I went ahead and made me a locking compartment out of it to use temporally. I am still looking for a Cassette Player for it.
