i just happen to find a small hole about 1/8 of an inch under the engine about before the front of the water pump housing , and i am not able to find any spec about that and i know that on cars pumps when some rad water is spraying out from a hole it time to change the pump am i right?
You may not have to change the pump if it is leaking as it might just be the big O ring on the pump. There are some checks you can make to check the pump itself and I would go to the how to section of this site or the service manual.
I was spraying oil over my rear end (the bike too) last year from that little hole. I got a kit for a new pump fop about $150 (CDN). Wasn't difficullt to do. Problem solved.
Just a quick note - don't replace it with a Saber Cycle water pump - as experienced by quite a few people here, their water pumps fail within a few months of installation.
I just picked up a new 1200 pump from Honda and with most of the gaskets it came to about $200.00 CDN including the taxes. Sometimes Honda isn't the most expensive store on the block.
