I have a good set of car speakers I want to fit to the rear pods on my1500 Goldwing Interstate (1994) to replace the existing worn out ones. I doubt if they are waterproofed and I was wondering if there is something I can buy to waterproof them.

There's a tip about this on Steves Tips page. I think it's to do with spraying lacker on the speakers.

probably if you use shellac on them it would work. When I was younger, that is what we used on our snowshoes to waterproof them. It also kept the babich tight. Now, I dont snowshoe, I prefer to wait for nice weather and ride.
