As some of you know my father was admitted into the hospital on Thursday evening of this week.
Well I have just had a consultation with the physicians. Dad is doing somewhat better but will need my help before and after the quadruple bypass surgery. They have to get all the infection out of his body before the surgery and that should be in about two weeks.
Because of this I will have to officially cancel my Montrose plans. I hate that because I really wanted to meet Steve and Dylan, reunite with old friends, and all the other members that were not at NASSIR1.
I hope everyone has a great time, ride safe, and please post pictures!!!
This is sad news in that your father is needing surgery and you know that I will be saying a special prayer for you and your Dad.....NASSIR's there will be other ones and who knows you might just get to see me at one.....But for now take care of your Dad ......
We'll keep your dad in our prayers Bill, sorry you won't make the trip to Montrose, but family does come first above all. If I can help in anyway, you have my number.
Bill , I am sorry to hear you have had to cancel your plans . I am sitting it out for surgical reasons too . Prayers will be offered for your dads condition to improve so the needed surgery can be done soon . We have to have our health needs taken care of . We can plan for other NASSIR meets in the future .
Prayers to you, your dad and family. I know what that situation is. My dad had a quad bypass. They did not know if he could do it. He showed them. He lived another 20 years after the surgery. I know you will be missed at Montrose. But there will be next year for an even bigger rally.
Sorry to hear that Bill, I was looking forward to meeting you - and very sorry to hear of your Dad's condition. Our thoughts and prayers for his full recovery. A guy I worked with had a very long, seven-way bypass and recovered quite quickly, now he's out skiing and kayaking. It really is amazing how excellent the surgeons are at these bypass surgeries now. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your Dad.
