This the gas cap on the 2017 Victory Cross-Country I borrowed/rode 1120 miles thru Oregon & Northern California, This stupid gas cap opens the wrong way and IF you take the key out you can't close it unless you put it back in and turn it!
The cap is very much in the way of easy fueling. Handle bars weren't much help ether.

Well, I didn't realize the problem until I was 180 miles into the ride... and it's the owners problem now- I'm 3000 miles away from it !!
Part of the problem with the fuel cap stems from the Fueling Regulations on the west coast. there is a accordion sleeve around the gas nozzle that has to be compressed to make a vapor seal to the gas tank fill hole, It's really stupid.
