Don't know if it's available in the UK, but I have Ride-On in mine. According to all the good people here, it doesn't attack your rims. Hope I never have to find out if it works!

Go for Ultra Seal,,theres a few dealers that do the job for about £15 a wheel:waving:

Ultraseal is the most popular product in the UK, seems to work pretty well. It is water based, so doesn't attack the rims.

Just don't expect it to be a miracle worker. I have had a tyre fail with ultraseal twice, but what it did do was prevent rapid deflating which is awfully useful at high speed.



By the way PP, you could have got it at £10 a wheel at the Border Wing ding.

Perfectly safe ,use Ultra seal . excellent stuff and does NOT corrode the wheels .Stops all small punctures and on bigger blow outs reduces the air flow out of the tyre so you can stop safely ,, Great stuff ,there are other products around that are not very clever ..

If putting in Ultra seal make sure the wheel is off the ground and the valve neck at the bottom of the wheel near the ground ,as soon as you have put it in SPIN the wheel for a few minutes to make sure the Ultra seal spreads around evenly ,otherwise it will just stay stuck in a blob in one part of the wheel and will cause wheel balance problems as well as not doing its job in the other parts of the tyre , Ciaran

Paul, I have tried that and only came up with one, and their number is no longer working, out of business I guess . I know I could DIY it, but I'd rather get someone else to do it for me :clapper:

Hi Guys just phoned an ex Ultraseal guy who no longer does Ultraseal but does do Ride-On. I hope hes going to send some info on it, I'll keep you informed.

I am not from your side of the pond, but would warn anyone from adding a tire sealant to a motorcycle tire. Unbalanced wheels can occur at high speed and cause accidents.

As was noted earlier, you have to be careful to avoid the problem but there is no guarantee that it won't become a problem later.
