The 1981 (82) GL1100 uses the AW82 TRI coil. The are as hard a hens teeth to buy as Honda has discontinued them and the 83 GL100 Aspencade coil which is a different part (I learned after I started looking for them).
If your local part house does not have one, I can sell you anextra (used) I haveat my cost ($40 US) plus shipping from Richmond VA to you. Email to [email protected]
:gunhead:Note: Tubwinger and Silicon Sam are right- the BW82 is the coil you should use. I just got my bike out of the shop today (expert carb rebuild and new tire) and talked with my mechanic about this. Hesaid that the BW82 is the one you should use if you can get it.
