I ran into an issue of handling on my 85 interstate . The mighty Mackinaw bridge in Mi USA has a lane of steel grate . I was forced to run that this past week end . The Goldwing handled like a frieght train with out tracks . It was so bad i thought i was going down . Iv ran it before on a V star running Dunlop tires and it was not bad at all .

Iv checked a number of things on the bike , neck bearings , wheel bearings swing arm bushings ect. I think its the dang front tire on the wing .

Any one had issues with the bridgestone spitfire S11 tire ?

It has a center grove that i think may have been causing the issue .

I think you just answered your own question. We used to have several steel bridges here in our city and going over them with a set of Bridgestones with a center groove was a nightmare. Put on a new set of Dunlops with no center groove and it was a totally different experience. I doubt that there's anything wrong with your bike that a new tire(s) wouldn't correct.

I cant find any bad reviews of the tire but common sense suggested the grove was the issue , your helping confirm that .
