What is a "Banjo Bolt"

Someone said " Crack the "banjo bolt" on the end of the master cylinder. Whats a banjo bolt?

The banjo bolt is the bolt that is attach-es the brake hose tothe master cylinder endand the caliper end. I believe it is called this because if you look at it with one eye closed and the other almost closed they kinda look like banjos. Or itmay be the instrument a bolt plays at a square dance. I'll let you choose

I guess this applies to the clutch master cylinder as well??

Sometimes when a Banjo leaves quickly it's called a bolt. I've never seen a banjo bolt but I've seen a rubber band.

Goldwinger is correct:cool: Its called a banjo bolt because the part of the brake line you put on the caliper/master cylander is called a banjo fitting, because if you look at it, it sort of looks like a banjo, so the bolt that goes threw it is called a banjo bolt:cool:

Sometimes there are two banjos held on by one bolt for some dual front disc setups. Dualing banjos. De De De De De De De De De
