I haven't been too far on this bike yet but I want to take a long trip on my 85 Limited. I hear these seats are not so good. Who has a good one on their bike and who made it?
I have an old Corbin on a 76 GL1000 parts bike that I have not ridden, the leather is perfect but I am sure the foam is old in it. I have a 76 that I sometimes ride and I might try it on that bike.

reading different posts and ran across yours,,,i just picked up the same ride,,,a 1200 gl ltd,,,im having problems with it not charging right,,,it rode fine for the first three or four weeks and once beofre it started not charging but i _ out of trial and error _ kept pushing buttons to see if i had something turned on that wasnt supposed to be,,and it started charging again,,,its not charging again and i was wondering of a list of things i could check to see if i could solve the problem,,,any help given would be appreciated,,,,thanks, rick

Check to see if the three yellow wires going to the Stator have been soldered together. They are under the left side cover, next to the battery going towards front of bike. If they haven't been, they will be plugged together by a white plastic set up. This will get hot and really get crappy.
