Check to see if the three yellow wires going to the Stator have been soldered together. They are under the left side cover, next to the battery going towards front of bike. If they haven't been, they will be plugged together by a white plastic set up. This will get hot and really get crappy. Do a search in the tech forum for "3 yellow wires" and it will give you plenty of reading and advise.
