What is the Forum Index?

The Index is comprised mostly from GoldwingFacts and GoldwingDocs

The forum index is a collection of Bookmarks that AZgl1800 has been accumulating since 2006.
At last count, there were over 5,000 links in this index.

It is setup to work like a Library Book, Volume/chapter/Links

The main volume name is Motorcycles

Below that is a lot of Chapters names and they start out like this:

1000 info
1100 info
1200 info
1500 info
1800 info

Now, below the main heading names… think of them as Folders if that is easier…..

If you click on 1100 there will be a whole new list of Folders and Links show up.

Each Folder will have its' own subset list of Folders or Links to topics we all need.

The best way to see how it works, is to view this new video that I just uploaded to YouTube…

I think it will go a long way to showing how simple the Index actually works.

Once you view the Video, you need to go to the Main Index Page and select the Segment appropriate for the type of browser you are using….

Get it here => https://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/5-general-motorcycle-discussion-forum/488490-forum-index-help-you-find-threads-m-c-forums.html

or watch the video first, which I encourage so you know how to use it.

When viewing this YouTube video, you really need to go FULLSCREEN, or you won't be able to follow the printing of each link I refer to.

For each browser, there is a detailed explanation of how to install the forum index into that browser.

click here to find the Forum Index thread, and a detailed step by step process of how to import the index into your browser.

Anyhow it is very handy to have. Thank you.

You don't use it as a Page on your hard drive.
that is grossly inefficient... as a flat HTML file it is useless.

follow the instructions.... you must use the very first item on the Bookmarks, it is called "Show all Files"

I'm not reposting all that, it is in the Firefox post... follow each and every step, it works.

I made pictures of each and every step to get it installed.
