Today you can ride on the Charlotte Motor Speedway track. They have this several time a year and my son was headed down there today to ride around it a few times in his GTI. I told him before he left, to bad they don't allow bikes on the track.......

I heard about this at my last HRCA meeting. Apparently the local GWRRA chapter is very involved in this event.

The way they explained it, they call it the 100 mph club. You have to stay behind the pace car. It doesn't break 100mph, but if you play it right, you can hang back a little bit, and then accelerate hard at one point and bet up over 100, if you want.

They have souvenir photos too.

I'd love to do it. I thought about riding down this year, but I didn't get the chance. Maybe next year.
