Then it was Yamahaw

My friend just left with his beautiful late model Bonny. I watched as he fired up to go. I listened to the sound of his enginethrough Dunstall reverse megaphones. It's a beautiful sounding engine. I prefer a chuggling and pooting BSA but any engine sounds beautiful.

All engines are beautiful.

I guess I have a thing about engines.

This being a UK based site, I thought I'd see more Brit or Europeon bikes but I seem to be to only one of the 6 or 7 posters. Even out nowegean poster gas riden only Jap bikes. I started out on Brit bikes & stayed with them for years. The Honda 50 cub I had was more of alittle beaterto ride around camp grounds while camping.:waving::action::action::action::action::action::action:

I grew up next to a Indian Dealer who had a son a year younger than I was. Eventually the dealer became Kawasaki Dealer and as the son grew, so did the bikes that he and his friends rode. The first bike I ever rode was an Indian 50 with training wheels. Everything after that was mostly Kawasaki dirt bikes.

My own bikes:
1985 Suzuki GS550L
1996 Suzuki Intruder 800
1981 GL1100

In order of purchase:

'77 Honda CB550K

'82 honda CM250C

'74 Honda CB750K

'82 Honda GL1100

Added a 70's Auburn Gemini sidecar to the Goldwing

I still own all four of these bikes. I'm nearing 50 but didn't start riding until age 44. I missed out on so much time, so many miles!

I am not surprised due to the less than impressive dealer support there is for Brit bikes. (nothing against the Bike themselves.

I am more surprised there were not more Harleys in peoples lists.:?
