where are all the riders?

I've been driving to Cincinniti and back one week, then Seattle and back the next, and on and on. Last weeks trip out to Seattle and back I saw three riders. Two were on BMW's and one on a Goldwing. What the heck? Is riding season over all ready? The temps were in the mid 60's. Heck, I get home to 41 degrees and hop on my wing and go for a cruise. What happened to everybody? I must have entered the twilight zone. All riders have turned in for the winter.

This would be the time of year where the bikers are clearly separated from the weekend good-time trophy-bike owners. :D

We just spent a week in sunny Arizona. We saw a lot of bikes out on the weekend around Sedona, but the other days we may have seen 3 or 4 all day. I thought that it was really odd that we only saw one BMW and one Harley while in the Grand Canyon National Park. We saw one rider on the roads between Monument Valley and Salt Lake City.

It's the best time f year to ride in my area, but sadly, my bike is still waiting in the garage for PARTS :X:X:X :(:(:(

A lot of them tend to disappear this time of year. Another batch of them have their bikes on Craigslist because they can't make the payments.

Everyday I hear the Harleys and the wanna be Harleys one block over from my house, and I want so bad to get out there with them, but it ain't going to happen any time soon it appears....I followed this Sportster to the Court house annex to get a copy of my marriage licenses....Story for another time, but this Harley rider pulled into the parking lot in front of me..I noticed that his back tire was slick in the center, as no threads showing..I mentioned it to him and he said now that riding season was over he was going to put a new tire on it....I said "riding season over???" its going to be into the high 70's for the next week, are you not from Texas??? Riding season is 365, unless it happens to accidentally snows??" ..He laughed and said he OK would go get it today.....Some times ya just gotta remember that at Christmas tee shirts and shorts are the uniform of the day...."Bring out that brisket to the BBQ pit, honey, Santa might want something different tonight".....:cheeky1::cheeky1::cheeky1:.....

Bob, probably a lot of them are like you and I. I am taking from your post that you were in a cage and on business for two weeks. I know I am in Orlando, FL this whole week with awesome weather and a stupid rental car wishing I was on my wing!!! :action::action:

I'm like you though, can't wait to get home and ride!!!

I could be wrong though...........there are a lot of riders out there that have to have perfect weather like 72.7 degrees, no clouds, and calm winds before they will even consider hitting the start button. :cool:Who knows???

I only ride when the wind and rain isn't likely to mess up my hair......

I only ride when I can wear a muscle shirt showing off my Marlboro man tattoos.....

A guy this good looking has to take care of himself.........

All those nice pics to make a man jealous.

I run out through Montana and Coeur d' Alene every other week. I'm thinking I'm going to head out there on the wing next summer and enjoy the Mountains from a different perspective.

Not really. We were HERE. :waving: 2 weeks ago(Oct 5), I was up through Algonquin Park, to catch the colours, which is farther north.

This one was taken Oct 2, on a ride through Fenlon Falls, ON. They ride all makes/models/brands

My wife and I have been riding, and like you said, we haven't seen many bikes out there either.:action:

Yeah not many other bikes to wave at this time of year. :dude: If you would have come down to the Gig Harbor / Port Orchard area you would have seen one other Wing. :)

We had snow last night, but I will still be riding just as soon as I get my head gaskets on.

Good thing we got out of Shediac when we did. We left in 1 celcius and it was cold. Knew you would be getting early snow there.
