I use Dunlop 404s, I go through 2 rear and 1 front a year. I tried Metzler 88s, I didn't notice much difference. I mount them myself, and don't bother balancing them. I commute about 6-7 hundred miles a week, as long as there is no ice on the road.
I ordered my starter from ebay, don't remember the seller. I should check into having the old one rebuilt, if I can find it in the barn somewhere...
