I like the older older models of Gold Wings for some reason, simplicity I guess. which of the 1980's is best for reliability etc... thanks dan1959

:waving:Hello Dan and Welcome to the Steve Saunders forums . Lots of great folks here to share information with . For simplicity I'd look for an 83 standard . IT has better wheels than the 82 ( comstar ) . In the 1200s the styling begins to change . Perhaps if you can find a 1200 standard that would goodas well . Then the only issue would be if the stator is working well . Best of luck . Enjoy the forums and visit often .

Welcome bro!:waving::waving::waving:
Dan I have an 1100 81. Been loyal as can be. I do like the 1200 and had the chance to go for a ride on the 1500. I don't think you will be disapopinted in any of them. Pick the biggest you can afford and enjoy.. More features the newer ya go.
