Which Switch is Which?

Howdy,

My Wing just today developed a problem when starting.

Occasionally when I push the starter button I get nothing.

When I try a few times I will get a click when I release the button.

If I continue to try it will start like normal.

I first thought it was a low battery or bad connection.

So I rode home and took it all apart and cleaned every connection I could get at while I had the battery charging.

The battery seemed to be up, but I topped off the cells and charged it anyway.

After I was done I put it back together and the problem still persists, So I took ot apart again and discovered the TWO Switches or solenoids that click.

I have identified the one that is mounted to the front of the Battery box as.

Item # 13 35851-MN5-751 SWITCH COMP. or it's also listed as

Item # 12 35850-MT8-671 SWITCH ASSY. COMPLETE

Now these numbers came from my CDMOTO parts PDF. and they are different from the one that Tallyho is using.

The other switch I need identified is mounted on the frame rail same side and right behind my Oil Fill spot.

It might be this one...

Item # 11 35850-MT8-000 SWITCH ASSY. IF THIS IS FORWARD OF BATTERY ON FRAME RAIL

Let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance

That's my next project.

I do find it hard to believe that it would start so well one day and then go all different the next day.

But I am going out and do that now as the searches I find point to the same.

I'm attaching a graphic to show Tallyho the two switches.

Hey, After a few hours of Taking everything apart and cleaning every contact I could get to. ( I Even removed the battery box and got the ones behind there )

I even took the starter switch housing off the bike but didn't want to screw with the throttle cables.

So I did a search and from Anogels suggestion too, I sprayed my Starter switch with contact cleaner.

It worked Great.

Go Figure, a 10 second fix. worked better than 4 hours of real work.

I hit the kill switch and the starter button worked perfect 10 times in a row.

So Now I'm off to spray all my switches.

PS, Make sure you cover all your Tupperware when spraying anything top side.

Thanks All.

I'm a button pushing now.

I am T/S the same problem after a 300 mile ride yesterday. This morning nothing, no clicks or anything also notice the neutral light is not working either. During my ride yesterday I noticed the OD light was out, is that a hint???

I would check the dogbone fuse located forward of your battery.

If you have nothing at all, It's something major like that.

Good Luck to you.
