I'm a little confused still. These were listed for a '77, but will they work for a '78? If not, which belts can I get at the auto store? Thanks!

....... timing belts
part #14400-371-04/14400-371-14 for the early models
(later models 78-79 have different number ...mmmm???)
or alternatively Randakk suggests:
Gates #T274
NAPA #250274
Goodyear Gatorback #40274 (available at AutoZone and others)

Go by the NAPA number, don't even look at the Honda part number in this case..... '75 to '83 are all the same....

Okay thanks! So I need a NAPA #250274.

sometimes honda changed part #'s because the part was made better, not different (if that makes sense) but 1000-1100's all the same

I'd rather have gates cause they are from Denver. However, I ended up with Gator (Goodyear brand) from Autozone for under $20 each. Gator's also made in USA.

I wont use anything but gates or goodyear belts on all my vehicles.

Okay I found the Napa for $30.39 and the GoodYear for $19.99. I've yet to look into this real good so this may sound silly. I want to confirm that I need two belts. Thanks!
