I was very pleased when I bought my bike that the PO brought out the Original Key that came with the LTD. He said it was used once when he first bought the bike to make sure it works and it has never been used since, always kept in a frame, under glass.

I have bought and sold five LTDs and four had the keys, and the keyskeys had been cherished by their prior owners.

One of the GL1500 anniversary models had a similar key. I can't remember what year, I just remember seeing the key in the owners hand and I remarked how nice it was.

Still have both of mine from 1982. I don't use either one as they are now only used to make duplicates.
