Trying to get all I can gather up to visit the Talimena drive to look at the pretty foliage and mainly to ride. mjktx121, his wife, maybe others, and I will meet in Mt. Ida, Ar. about 9am and go from there. PM me if you want to meet with us.
I know this might be better suited to the events forum but it's not really an event.

Hey Dave,
I would love to go. But, I work Mid to 08:00 so I think not. Maybe one of these days we can blast down there and ride with ya. I love the Talamina Drive........

Well Mike and Kelly and me had a wonderful ride anyway, weather was great, after about 10:00 it warmed up pretty nicely. Everyone else had something else going on today.

Wsih I coulda gone but had Honey-do's first thing this morning. BTW, AspectOne needs an industrial strength gremlin bell & quick! His 1500 is at Sunrise Honda right now. Had a flat on the rear tire & a plug wouldn't hold so he had to have them come get it. When we left he was talking to the guy about a used ST1300 they just traded for.

Oh he knows that Gene has a bell for each bike but hasn't made it to his house yet. Also his front master cylinder went dry. Found a banjo fitting on the caliper loose so Brian & I refilled & bled his brakes. He said he was gonna have Sunrise change out his brake fluid while they had it.

I can't believe this guy's luck. I have his bells, I wish that I could had got them to him before today. I've never seen anybody who has a breakdown every time he goes out. And I always thought I had bad luck, but hell, Aspect One has gremlinitisextremis in the worst way.:shock::shock:

I had a busy day, someone dropped a dog off last weekend, we felt sorry for it, feed it, and took care of it, but since we already had 2 dogs, decided that I would take this one to the Humane Society, unfortunately I took him over there, and they had no room, so I brought him back home, so anyway, had to go and get him some flea powder, and coller, and pick up groceries why we were at it, and stopped for lunch on the way there, got home and then had to install a new back door on the house. Just too much to do. So I couldn't make it to Andy's.

Gene, we're going to do a "maintenance day" next Saturday at my place. AspectOne & Two are coming, as well as BRGold (new member) & Aquaman (new member). I plan on making lasagna for everyone to chow down on.

OK.... SO you guys see what has been going on every sinceI got a goldwing.... can't leave the garage with out a breaking down... and they talk about Harleys.... HA!!!

Evere time I break down there is a group of Harleys some where near by that drive past laughing and taunting me......

I cant take it anymore !!!!

So this was how our day started.... nice peacfull get together at Andy's house, me Aspect Two, Andy, Brian and Aquaman,

Ofcourse after chasing our tales and getting a late start...

and also after deciding if we were coming or going LOL ....

we get happily motoring along toward Bald KNob

Alll was well and fine until as Andy stated those damned gremlins struck again!!!!!

So as Andy was saying now I'm looking at an ST1300..... but canwe possibly give upour wing?????? Could we trade it all in and go to another club? Another CLASS EVEN?

Hmmmmm I don't know ... tune in next week to find out folksif AspectOne and Two write a HUGE check to Sunrise Honda!!!!! Same bat time same bat channel!!!!

Oh and bring your gremlin bells ... cuas4e around us your gonna need em!!!!!!

Hey Andy, can we make that maintenance week instead???!! Let's see, that's 2 flat tires, an alternator, brake failure due to a loose banjo fitting - which I hear NEVER happens. Hmmmmm. Just thinking. Chris rides with you guys ok. I join, GREMLINS, GREMLINS, and MORE GREMLINS doing stuff that never should happen.

So next ride how 'bout I take the cage and meet you guys with a picnic lunch or something.....I believe I'm the Gremlin on the bikes! Calling Fr. Malone now to see if he'll perform a bike (or 2) exorcism and blessing....or is it me that just needs to show @ Mass tomorrow??!

Nah, she's too cute to be a jinx. I'm figuring there's really persistent Gremlin that made a nice comfortable home somewhere in AspectOne's 1500 & doesn't want to give it up! We'll find it next weekend & banish it to Harleydom forever.

Did anyone make it to Talimena Drive?

I saw this thread too late to post. Debbie and I went down there and rode Talimena Drive on Saturday. It looked pretty nice but we think a week earlier and the foliage would have been a bit better. The CMA had the Changing of the Colors rally so there were tons of bikes there. Saw only one 1100 but lots of 1800s.

On the way down there this happenned....

Anyone want to buy a low mileage bike?

Wish I could have gone, but it would have been a bit longer trip for me. I'd love to see it from a bike when the weather is good. The last two times I've been there, by the time we got to the top, visibility was about 20 ft because we were in a cloud.

It's still a great ride. Glad you guys had fun!
