Who will be at Daytona Bike Week???

Hi guys,

Just curious as to who of you are planning to attend... This will be my first visit to Daytona and Bike Week... The bride and I are coming down to have some work done on our saddle and passenger backrest, and also to visit relatives in the Tampa area... It is also an excuse to get out of this cold Chicago (NW suburbs actually) weather

...

I was just wondering if I would see any of my forum friends there???

my concern would be crawling home after a day or night at the IronHorse. :ROFL:

I am over nearer to Tampa . Don't know I'f I'll be going or not.

Actually neither shade tree... I'm just off some recent surgery (3 days ago) so we'll be taking the car down... I'd love to trailer the bike down (I can rent one at quite a reasonable cost from my previous RV dealer) but riding would be a bit premature at this point...

I went down for the last couple events on my Wing, but I probably won't do it again unless a couple other riders go along with me? (also more dependent on weather with the cruiser now... ;-))

I could see making this a yearly event, especially for us northern folk who need an escape from cold and snow of winter...

I am seriously contemplating picking up a enclosed MC trailer just for occasions like this...

Yeah I understand that - all of my buddies feel like that too in the spring,fall, and summer... But right now, it's 3 degrees here with a wind chill of -10 below and will go -20 below tonight with snow in the forecast... No way to get the h*** out of Dodge without a trailer under those conditions... Early March may be better or could be worse - you can never tell around here!!

I should get up off my butt and go, got a buddy who lives there....but no funds for travelin....those that go stay safe...

Last year traveling alone I stayed at a motel in Sanford for $50 a night... Made a trip South to Cocoa Beach one day also, (besides the two days hanging around Daytona). From here it's right at 700 miles, so one day twelve hour rides each way. (Next time I go it will be with a few other riders... ;-))

I guess it seems doable, hell I got another buddy who lives on Amelia Island just up the coast , should make a summer of it....LOL
