I wear a half helmet and have been thinking about trying earplugs to cut down on the wind noise. I wear them at work and don't have a problem hearing the conversations, etc. They do a great job cutting down on the ambient noise though. At 45 I've got some hearing loss from my younger days of concerts and the "hearing protection is for wusses" attitide and would like to preserve what I've got left. I suppose I could just get another helmet, but I like this one and besides, earplugs are cheaper!
