Wig Wag Brake Modulator

I have been considering buying one of these units for a while. My concern is how hard is it to install? It's only about $38, but hooking it up is something else. I ride an '05 GL1800/ABS and am wondering if I should attempt to do it myself or take it to a dealer and see if they would do it for me. As these affect the brake lights, I don't want any mistakes.

I am going to install one on my 97 GL1500. I have it and have looked at the installation instructions and it looks like a simple install. Just need to follow the directions. Now I just need time off from work to work on the wing.

Hey Jerry,

I got the new timing belts on and some new wind deflectors due anyday. I plan on having the rear shocks rebuilt this week...man stealership wants $204 just for the rebuild kit not counting what my mechanic friend is going to charge,

Hey Dave,

Sounds great. I was home this weekend and I did work some on the wing (replaced thermostat and right radiator, replaced right header). Did not get to work on it as much as I wanted (had other hunny do stuff to do). I try to do all my own work as I don't want to pay someone else to do it. I know I am cheep...LOL.

Sorry Roryrob for steeling your thread.....:(

Installed mine about a month ago and took about 45 mins altogether, just ensure you have all you need prior to starting. It is simple to do if you plan where you are going to mount the module andhow you are going to splice it into the lines. I used stake ons to put it in the brake wiresandmounted the module under my plate below the brake light on my GL1100.

great unit and have had people tell me it is really noticable or that my break light is broken because everytime I put my brakes on it flashes. observant bunch eh? :cheeky1:
