Stock fuel pump on my new to me '84 Aspy in gone and I've got a new Airtex one that puts out 5-9 psi, anyone try one of these. I may try it out anyways but want to know if it's been done and how it worked out. Later.

It may work for a while, but will likely over-power the float/seats in time. I believe the standard pump supplies around 3psi. You'll have to do a search, but there were several threads on replacement/aftermarket pumps being tried... :gunhead:



This one was used on a carbed 1200.

I put one on my 1200. No problems with flooding the carbs. I carry it for a spare in case the OEM quits.The difference in pressure- 5-6 and 3-4 is not signifigant. If it was going to flood the carbs it would do it immediately.
