I normally use Plexus for general cleaning. But when I acquire scratches I use Novus. It comes in three grades. Number 3 is like a paste. It takes a lot of elbow grease but found it to be the best. If your scratches are too deep the best thing to use is your wallet and buy a new one.:)

+1, and if your shield has a coating on it, good luck with that.

I've read that Pledge Furniture polish works well just NOT the kind with Lemon added. I haven't needed it yet but would give it a try. It's cheap enough.

William_86, on a side note, who is the girl in the picture? WOW, if it is your g/f or wife, lucky you!

Polishing a 20 yr old windshield, I did, I was bored one night and I had a six pack with my name on it calling me and it was rainy out..... so I pulled it off and polished it. I was actually surpised how nice it came out, it looks brand new. Didn't intend on being so cheap but I was shocked that I was able to clean it up. Took about 20 mins of polishing with a polisher and some compound. I couldn't see through it at night with other headlights hitting it. Now it is very nice!
