Hi All - new to the site and relatively new to the wing world - picked up a 2006 1800 about a month and 1000 miles ago and really impressed with this machine. I recently ordered a Clymer manual on line which was advertised as 2001-2009, however when I received it the cover says 2001-2005. Itching to rip the plastic off and thumb through it see what all is under all the plastic on this machine but not sure I should keep it vs getting the one for 2006. Are the 2005 and 2006 essentially the same? The specs I find on line are essentially the same except they show an additional 30 pounds of something on the 2006 so something is different. What do all you experts have to say on this - appreciate the help - thanks

Due to some extra goodies (sound system, heated seat, nav system etc..) it can weigh extra if you get these goodies. The best service manual is bought from Honda IMHO. There are differences between 05 and 06 on removal of speaker covers and other smaall items. Take the manual back to where you got it from and buy one from Honda. Worth the money if you are going to wrench yourself, and by the way

I agree with SETHAN12, you have a relatively new bike. You can probably order it right form you bike manual that came with it. Back pages, not sure, but think so. If not order from Honda.

The big difference from 2006 will be the wiring and the diagrams are much different. I would send that manual back and pay the extra for a Honda book.

Order the manual for your bike ... not the older model.

thanks all for the relatively quick responses - already glad I joined this site. The vendor (the wing store) has also been very responsive and is looking into with his supplier. I had previously downloaded a free online manual and when I actually looked at some of the details it listed it as up to 2005 which seems consistent with the last post - thanks again
