Hi

I was told that for the winter I should fill fuel tank and add 1/4 bottle of ATF then run bike so that mixture would get through system. I am told this will prevent injectors from fouling and coat cylinder, instead od removing spark plugs and adding oil directly into cylinders.

Has anyone ever used ATF in there fuel ?

Any help I could get would be great.

Thx

Al

ATF in gas? I've never heard of that. There are products available and proven to work, I'd use them before ATF.

Put in 6 or 7 oz of Seafoam to a full tank of gas and run for 5 to 10 minutes. That should be good enough. ATF could actually block the injector ports after a long winter. Plus, it could hurt the cat converters. I wouldn't use it. I'm fortunate here that I ride year round, so my bikes never get stored for the winter. :smiler:

Ditto on the Seafoam or even Marvel Mystery Oil (MMO). I would think the ATF would leave a coating on the parts, I wouldn't use it.
