I ride a lot in the mountains & forests, often find myself riding in unpredicted rain/slush/snow/fog....must venture on but cannot see thru the windscreen...what to do? Add a manual windscreen wiper like this (SPIKEPOWERSPORTS.COM) #77-0010...works great on my Vetter fairing, one hole to drill thru windshield to install...

Looks like, in the rain, you'd have to take one hand off the grips to work it?

There was a company years back that made one for the 1500 Gold wing. Also I think that the 1500 wings sold in Japan had one from the factory

The Gold Wings sold in Japan come with windshield wipers, there is a reason for this. In Japan motorcycles are restricted on their speed, so when it rains (which it does often) you really don't have enough speed to clear the windshield from the rain. You can order the factory windshield wiper for your Wing, the cost is about 700.00.

I've managed some light scratches on my screen and I only ever use a soft cloth for cleaning - there's no way I'd install wipers
