Hatchetman thanks ,I've got the motor running great!

I have one last problem. The wiring diagram from Clymers isn't matching up with my harness. I'm hoping someone out there might have a factory diagram I can download.

My turn signals blink very fast and go to solid when the motor is running.

You probably just need to replace the flasher with an automotive electronic unit. Connect the white/green and gray wires to the flasher and leave off the green.

Can you suggest which type of auto relay or will a universal do. If I leave a wire off do I need a two post relay?

Yes a 2 pin flasher, I can't remember the number but they are universal and pretty cheap, less than $10 for the best electronic one last time I looked.

The Honda flasher can be gotten for about $20. No wiring or mounting problems and they last forever.
