COuld this be an aftermarket cb hook up . Or a headset lead.

can be both or they had the out put on a mp3 hooked up to it i dont see why he would need to put the head set through there is there another one on the far side

Seeing as it looks like you've unplugged them from the speakers I'd say a PO has had another set of speakers mounted somewhere, perhaps for the passenger.

yes the same exist on the other side. I too thought of another set of speakers, but cannot find them nor the rest of the wire. may have been prior to his owning . He had it for 9 years.

Since I am changing the radio anyway, I am removing all that stuff, as well as the intercom and amplifier. Radios of today have far more power than the orig radio so do not need the amp and filter.
The only thing I will be losing is the availability or intercom and handle bar mounted tune and mute switch.

as for the intercomm, todays set are rechargable bluetooth if in any case i desire a set.
