I am wiring my 2000 GL1500SE for a trailer. I have installed the 45-8945 Add-On wiring harness from Cyclemax. This left me with 5 wires at my hitch and 1 red wire run to the "+" battery connection. I then installed a 5 to 4 pin converter. I connected the leads as instructed, "left turn wire from bike to left turn wire on converter" etc.
Am I correct that I can connect the ground wire from the bike to the ground wire on the converter and ground that connection to the bike frame?

Make sure that the ground connection(either a wire or terminal( on the converter is ground and is - ) Any ground or grounded wire or terminal is a return to the - of the battery system and the grounds can be all connected. The grounded system is simply a return to the battery.
When wiring lights etc do not only use the frame as a ground connection but also install a wire going to a base ground point. Why? The frame rusts and inhibits electron flow.
Test all connections and then test the wiring for correctness before operating.
