So the first wiring question I have is what are all these wires in the front? Some of them may have gone to the fairing? Any help would be appreciated!

Some go to the lights, some go to the gauges and some to the handlebar switches.

There are more wires somewhere, not in the pic. The muiti plugs are easy, they plug into the one of the same color. Same with the single wires, they connect to wires of the same color. Those labeled #4 are to the rear, the orange is the left turn, light blue is right turn, brown is tail light and green is ground. Some of those wires are not used.

Remembering more. The black plugs into the left handlebar switches and more wires from it plug into the individual wires. The white 9 pin plugs into the instrument panel. The white 2 pin looks like what might be the turn signal cancel but that would only be on an 82 or 83.

Awesome! Thank you! right now just labelling the ones that are needed and separating the ones that are not. I think I have more wires than I need!

Much appreciated! I'm a comms guy by trade, and this is driving me crazy because they are all wrapped...its tedious using a multimeter especially when you throw in a bunch that go nowhere.

Associating the color with the function (post # 8) should ease the pain.....!!:wink2:

Having installed a fairing and saddlebags on a '77 Wing, I am a little familiar with what you are doing.....!
