Wish me luck...

Tomorrow at noon, I check out a new (to me) 2000 Valkyrie Interstate, Red and Black. If all goes well, it will be mine an hour later. Then, my old 87 can be completely torn down and restored as I get the time, (it is sitting with a glown head gasket at the moment).

The good news, is the wife has been pushing me into this move, (pretty good wife, huh?) Of course, it doesn't hurt that yesterday I got her bike back on the road for her, (what a nice guy I am).

Here is a picture of my soon to be bike, (I hope).

I was going to buy a new Valkyrie until my wife talked me into a Wing. I triked it and $40,000 later the Valkyrie is a memory. Have a great ride

Thanks guys. Already picked out my new name, (to go along with the new bike).

"4evermetric" was a result of flushing my wife's Harley down the toilet and getting her a Kawasaki Vulcan. See you tomorrow.

I have always liked the Interstate Valks. A buddy of mine has one in that color, triked.

Thats a Sweet looking bike . I hope it all goes well and you become the new owner .

Once your riding that , you might just sell the old bike . All that restore work will really cut into your riding time . :cheeky1:

Yep, got it. Has a little sorting out to do, (namely, the riding position is way too far forward, so need to get the seat customized) and a couple small audio issues, but it is sitting in the garage ready for it's first real ride, (tomorrow).

It acutally looks better in person than the picture, and has a ton of chrome on it from it's original owner.

They handle a little wierd at first, with the frame mounted fairing, but should get used to it fairly quickly. More later.

Sweet bike. Valks are awesome. If ever I go back to cruiser I'm thinking Vulcan or a Valk. Seen some absolutely gorgeous ones at a Harley D. rally in Columbia and the 2 guys riding them paid a fantastic price for them. Good Luck on the purchase.
