I haven't been on here for a while and I miss you folks. Looking at a 96 with 25k miles. Any opinions about the $7000 price. I think OK, but... Here is a slide show:

Please let me know what you think. Very pretty and second fastest color after black.:dude:

Well, one thing you are wrong about, that is the fastest color :DAbout a good price. What about the records, maintenance, etc. What has been done. It seems a bit high to me unless it has a spotless record.

What it really comes down to, are you willing to pay that much for that bike. Is it worth it to you.

A year ago, that would have been average, maybe a little low.

Today? The economy has put a lot of wings on the market and the prices are dropping down. He is wanting all he can get, but will probably take $6,000

If it is the one you want, has decent maint. records, has good tires etc. ,is close at hand, and the guy is willing to negotiate a bit, it is a very nice looking Wing and you should probably go for it.

I agree with Hawker.....I would do some negotiating though and see if he would come down some on the price.

By the way I like the color - Go Fast Red ! ! ! !:cooldevil:

I got mine, a '97 with 63k miles on it for $5000.
But most I looked at with that kind of mileage were asking $8-9k.

Try to get the owner to go down but if everything works and the engine runs smooth. don't pass it up. I looked at 1500 that were garbage that were priced higher.

That link goes off the side of my monitor, and about a foot across the wall.

If that bike is as good as it looks in the pictures I'd think $6500 would be a fair price, just a bit on the high end for the year and mileage but a real nice one like that in RED is worth a bit more than the average '96. It's a great bike, my RED '93 has 128,000 miles and is still running like new with nothing other than routine maintenance. If it's located close to you that would be worth a couple hundred bucks extra since it costs a bit to go after one.

Be careful, when I first saw my 1500 at the PO's house I just stared at it and said, "I'll take it!"

Being the photos dated about 6 weeks the guy may be willing to negotiate a little. Like exdavid said $6500 be a fair price. What is it worth to you? Bike in that good a condition is it hard for you to find? How bad do you want it now? If your willing to wait a 'til next year then maybe if he's not willing to negotiate sit this one out. On the other hand if you like the bike and want it now and can afford it what the heck...it is a beauty.
