Hi guys,

Puzzling problem today; hope you have some ideas....

Wason the road for about 45 minutes - half the time in 1st gear as I was caught in a traffic jam. Temp outside = about 85 degrees F. I stop the bike for a minute at a ferry... try to start it back up in neutral and the engine barely turned over. Tried again and then nothing! Meanwhile, all the dash lights are indicating I still have battery power.
I gave the bike a roll and jump started her. Got home 30 minutes later....tried to repeat the problem and everything is fine now! She starts right up. However, the only difference nowis I am hearing a "pop" from the spark plug area each time she starts up.

She has 33k miles; complete tune up with all fluids changed and new plugs at 29k.

Thanks a lot....

UPDATE:The bike has cooled down since I last started her about 3 hours ago.Started her up again moments ago; no problems. Now the "pop" is also gone. What's going on?
