I thought about the post today as I was out on my 1200. Since I bought the 1500SE the older bike has been neglected.
Once I started riding it took a bit of adjusting as the 1200feels much smaller and lighter than the 1500. The 1500 is a dream on the highway but the 1200 is a lot easier at lower speeds.
There are a lot of pro's and con's but the 1000's and 1100's are classics and will probably appreciate in value sooner.
I don't know where Mother Honda is in marketing the Wings. With the weight of the newer ones a lot of older riders may not feel comfortable. BMW has some nice bikes that weigh in a lot lighter. (Not the LT though)
