Hello new to asking on here i have a 84 1200 I i picked up needs a stator have seen on here the poorboy but $$$ says i need to just change out stator is there one better than another? Also a while back someone posted a parts sheet with a belts # from a parts store a gates i think are they any good for the wing and doses someone have that # again?

Welcome to the site ROTORHEAD! For the stator, go to rmstator.com. I got one over a couple years ago for $130 and is much better insulated than the OEM. Honda wanted $310 for the replacement. I got all my gaskets and seals from Honda and the entire job cost around $300. It's not a bad job pulling the motor, you can do it in a couple days. I also rebuilt the clutch slave cylinder while I had it out.Make sure you cut the stator plug out and hardwire it back in. Don't but a new plug, it won't last. Paul

well I ordered stator from RICKS anyone used them before good bad?
