i have a charity ride this saturday.
It takes two weeks to get them from honda.
I dont mind the wait but if i can get me hands on a set by friday afternoon i could put it back together for sat.
Other wise i will just have to wait.
I have called every dealer around me and no one has them in stock. I will most likley have to wait. eather way, i have to sell some stuff.
I can still drive it but i would rather just park it until i can replace the gaskets.
eather way, i am selling it and upgrading to a 1500 or a k series BMW.

Buy them at the local NAPA parts store. Much cheaper and just as good quality.

I ordered mine from our Local Honda Store. They were $55.40 Ea. I Finally found my water pump was not doing it's job well. It Was working, but only about at 50%, and allowing too much pressure, and I guess that's what blew the head gaskets in the first place. My water pump come in Yesterday. I am going to try to install it today. Question. Why do you have to drain the oil to put on a water pump?
I'm am glad it never run hot. It did however ger 2 bars close to the red. After I first heard the "Gurgle" parked it and I checked and watched and compared the water flow between my 80 and 83. There was 1/2 difference in the 83. Got good power, So far, uses no oil, and I believe I lucked out on this one.

the shaft of the oil pump drives the water pump, when you pull the water pump out the shaft and seal is what seprates the water and oil. make sure you replace the seal also :) it will save you a lot of trouble.

for the 1200gl the seal is number 26 in the parts finder under oil pump. Its only 4 or 5 bucks.

it looks like number 25 for a 1100.

most honda web sites have a parts finder, you can look up yours there.

good luck :)
