Hello, Hello... My Name is Paula but most call me Ducks Chick. (Hubby's nick name is Duck) We bought my hubby's GL1500 (1990) in May 2008 and he put on over 16K in less than 5 months. For this year he's already got over 34K on it!

I got bored riding on back in July or August, so by Labor Day 2008 I bought my own on ebay. My first bike was a 1983 GL650 Silverwing Interstate in great shape! Then I realized it was a little top heavy after tipping it over a few times then laying down on a curvy road in Kentucky going around 35-40mph. My hubby rode it for a few minutes to make sure it was safe to ride home (we were on a 3k bike trip) and he was surprised I made it that far! (I already had over 12k miles on it myself) So as soon as we got home he started searching for a GL1200 for me.

As of the first of August 2009 I am the proud owner of a 1985 GL1200 Aspencade in real good condition that I have fixed mechanically except the carbs (thats for this winter) and am planning a new paint job in the spring. ( I need to save some $!!) I have put on a few thousand on the new one already.

We love to ride and are getting our sons interested too. Our 14yr old wants one as his first vehicle instead of a car! Lord help us! We also joined GWTA in June 2008 shortly after buying our first Honda... They are a great group of people and we really enjoy riding and spending time with all of them!! Gold Rush this year was awesome! (except the laying down of the Silverwing, that's where I did it)

I hope we have a mild winter and can keep riding as long as possible!!

Oh yea, the avatar is my hubby with our two bikes (My Silverwing) on the way home from picking mine up in Minnisota last year... I'll get a new one of my 1200 on here soon!
