Flat tire

As I am new to the whole goldwing long trips thing this year, I have a question: what do you use to fix a flat tire? I have seen a tar like stuff you jam in the hole in the tire, then I have seen some kind of stuff you put in the tire through the valve stem, which is suppose to plug the hole. I guess either will work but what is your experience or what do you recommend?

Thanks

Carry some ropy plugs, or a 'stop and go' plug kit plus the ability to add air to the tire.

Then after this have the tire removed for an internal plug/patch combo installed and an internal inspection 'just in case'.

The other option is to use a 'run-flat' rear car tire, or perhaps some of that 'ride-on' inside the tires.

stop n go plug kit - there is no substitute - the problem with goo that is added, is that the goo is everywhere when the wheel is pulled. Bleagh.

Plug kit and a compressor to get you back on the road, and a stop at a good repair shop to check the tire later.

I carry tire plugs and a 12V air compressor for any possible flats. This should get me to get a new tire.:byebye:

Sticky strings, some throw away air canisters and a small 12v compressor gives me peace of mind.
