I just finished installing my carbs back in the 1100 and before I hooked everything back up I thot I would clean up the sheet metal on the top/front of engine. I see that these are also the top engine mounts----so--- is it okay to remove these without supporting the engine and does the sheet metal come out as easily as it looks???? Just asking before I mess something up. Thanks!!

They are not too easy to remove and replace. Also, there are two x12mm head bolts at the top which are hard to see and access.

It's a tight job getting the plate out, there isn't a lot of room to work. Mine bent while I was struggling to pull it out, and that made it harder to line up when I put it back in.
