GL1500 Speaker Fader Switch Broke off

I pulled the ignition switch console cover off, as I have done before, but this time the circuit board holding the wires to the speaker fader switch disintegrated. I now have two sets of 4 wires each dangling in the air, and no way to repair it. Can't find this switch on a parts fiche anywhere either.

Does anyone know if a Radio Shack potentiometer will work, if I can find with the connections? I hardly use the switch, but I sure don't like having something broken on my little red rocket sled.

If you have one of these (I think this might be Dusty Boot's)

They are a Hondaline accessory, no longer made, and wouldn't show up on the fiche. You would have to try some junkyards, ebay, or put in a request in the wanted section. If you are talking about one of these:

You can find the harness by doing a search. One place you can find it is here.

Mine is a vertical knob that is pretty much where the red square button is on that picture. The Add-on would work, but it looks like I would have to run the wires to each speaker. I'll post a picture of mine later today. There are wires that are taped over, but appear to be connectors under the tape. Could have been added by the PO, but I have seen so many similar switches I just figured that this was stock. Thanks for the link.

I have one of the Hondaline faders like in the picture that I have removed from my bike. PM me if you're interested.

We always mounted the fader control in the left pocket to keep the fragile Bakelite potentiometer from breaking like has happened here. The fader wiring just plugs in along the left side frame under the Tupperware.
