They say in this area there is a harley rider with a prostytic leg sometimes when he is trying to kick start his bike the leg flies off and he has to hop around to get it and strap it back on, some cursing is involved.
I would think that an electric starter is in order for that gentleman

There are a few bikes and trikes around here with handicapped riders.

I have seen so many of them do it in Georgia at the Walmarts that I thought it was just a common practice. I have not seen them park in any handicapable spots but on the yellow stripped lines at the end of the rows, which , in my opinion, frees up parking spaces, and two, could save your bike from the average Walmart shopper. Think about it!:?

I think if you look into it you'll find there are more people than you can imagine that have mobility issues, qualify for a handicapped/disability parking permit and still ride - I'm one of them. With that said, I've not yet parked my motorcycle in a handicapped parking spot - the sign that you hang from your rear view mirror (in a car)must be displayed (or you get fined big time). Sadly, people steal these, and I know if I used it on my bike, it likely wouldn't be there when I got back.

A friend of mine who uses a cane and has a disability sticker was told off for NOT using a disabled park and using up regular parking spaces.... go figure

My wife qualifies for a handicap placard. When parking at the store and she isn't going in or she's not with me, I don't take a handicap spot. If she's going in, and a spot is available, I do. I've gotten some weird looks sometimes when I park out further when handicap spots are available. I have parked the bike in the yellow striped areas at the end of the parking areas a few times. I wasn't real comfortable doing it, but had seen quite a few doing it. Then, I saw another vehicle hit and totally trash a bike parked there. I decided I'd not park there any more. Don't know if they ever caught the guy or not. 3 of us wrote statements on what happened. I sure hope they caught him. Out of state tags, so maybe not.
