anyone looks at the parts description on Partzilla/Honda dealers, it plainly shows the LCD screen is an assembly, not just the faceplate/screen itself.

I agree to use Ali-Express, buy two, sell one after the new replacement is shown to work long enough you know it will be good.

I hang my jacket over the windscreen and handlebars just for that very reason.
I never allow the sun to shine on the screen if the bike is parked.

that is an Awesome PDF, and it is obvious that you have a lot of experience working on these things in your Avionics avocation.

I don't think I will move this, it will just be Bookmarked for future Reference on how to repair the screen.
